Wander around the garden admiring the vast array of plants, both indigenous and exotic. Find one of the benches, perhaps in the herb garden and finish that book you've been meaning to read.
We actively encourage birds to visit us with feeders and certain plants. Some individual birds have returned to our garden year after year.
During the summer months, sunbirds and mousebirds are among the more exotic species that are regularly seen. The more common visitors include bulbuls, red-wing starlings and a local goshawk, which seems to include our garden on its hunting route.
Our garden also boasts the tallest palm tree in Franschhoek, at an estimated 20 metres high (no climbing allowed).
